What’s it about?
The sixth edition of the Collab Series is an explosive cocktail of five dynamic shredders, a groovy rock fusion backing, and tasty phrasing straight from the guitar overlords.
It all begins with Marco Sfgoli, who makes the bouncy bop his own by fusing choppy licks with a healthy dose of tension lines. There’s resolution and confidence, melodies galore, and bends that make his solo soar.
Tramaine then takes the baton and shows the world he is much more than just a metal slayer. His solo is bluesy, packed with motifs, and contains a veritable feast of pentatonic punch Throw in the pot some spicy flavours reminiscent of Scott Henderson, and you’ve got a treat for the soul.
Next is fellow UK axe-man, Phil Short. Carrying on where he left off in Eddie’s Yard, he calls on the palm mutes/up-strokes combo, mad runs from nowhere and his brand of tapping acrobatics.
Repping the headless crew is Kenny Serane. The musical chameleon leans on his love for the neo-classical with lightning-fast shred, his rocking side with squeals, and his fusion side with butter-smooth legato lines.
How do you finish after that? You call Igor Paspalj. After lulling you into a false sense of security with some “chilled” licks, he goes full throttle with legato galore, big old bends and all the filth we want to hear.
Who’s it for?
This is for players who love mad fusion lines, stanky grooves, and a delicate balance of shred and melody. Be inspired by five next-level players.
