What’s it about?
After the success of the original Lead Guitar Study Program, Brian has come back for more.
Take away the mystery of knowing what and how to practice with a range of long-form studies that will push you, prime you and power up your physical, technical and approach-based skills. Eight of the fifteen also feature on-screen information to help you focus on the job at hand.
Evergreen in design, with musicality at the core to keep those creative juices flowing, The Revenge of the Lead Guitar Study Program is a way to hone your skills with exercises you can use again and again and again and again and again.
What will I learn?
Each workout is built around a core of technical ideas such as alternate picking, sweep picking and legato, and while you tighten these skills in their own mini-context, you will also enhance your mental and physical stamina. As each study is longer than an isolated lick, or an exercise focused on a single concept, you not only have to nail it but keep nailing it over a prolonged period of time.
Every example is based on a language of scales and shapes, across a variety of speeds. This will improve your theoretical grounding which will help you travel across the neck.
And as this all becomes more natural, you will have gained the tools to make your improvisations and compositions sound richer and feel more fluent.
What theory is covered?
As you take each study, it is important to try and look into the theoretical details so you can see why a note was and wasn’t placed where, and how the exercise has been constructed to stay musical.
