What will I learn?

Week 1: Hand Strengthening

Understand the essential motion of legato and encounter, and strengthen your fretting hand to improve your dynamics and clarity. Begin with the basics and day by day, develop better fluency with the technique.

Week 2: Legato Slides and Position Changes

Move your focus to the 2nd and 3rd strings, and begin to introduce legato slides. Apply them to musical phrases and introduce several positions across the neck, using familiar scales and arpeggios.

Week 3: Patterns and Arpeggios

Extend patterns to five notes, across different strings. Incorporate slides and bends with licks and exercises that travel up and down the neck.
